The fragrance opens with an essence of fresh fruity and floral notes followed by an overwhelming heart that emerges with the essence of red roses with a hint of bourbon. The fragrance has a delicious sweet base of vanilla and caramel combined with a unique scent of coffee.

MY THOUGHTS

For some reason heart of OMANLUXURY Mariya is getting very prominent boozy undertones on me. It has a strong presence of patchouli that is clearly binding the pyramid all together. From the floral fresh opening down to the dark late dry down the scent has a very playful transitioning.

I enjoy the opening of spiced up fleur d’orange that doesn’t show any hints of coffee at first. After about 30 minutes patchouli and coffee mixed with my body chemistry create a very silky trail of booziness. Straight after deep dark rose accord is emerging and twisting the scent towards more evening wear. I didn’t reach for it much in relatively short time I had it in my collection and it is about to change. With February being the coldest month, I see myself craving warm spicy florals and Mariya will definitely be frequent flyer.

To me it is a gorgeous little emerald in the ocean of vague forever emerging vanillin releases being pumped by the industry in unaccountable and frankly unacceptable proportions. Spade ov Vetiver is piercing green, royal blood of vetivers, aquatic abyss, heart of the ocean. It is as lush and green as Amazonian jungle. I had to get used to the saltiness of it and once I wore it couple of times I knew it is the one for me.

I can only think of one place on earth that conveys the idea of this fragrance which is Duden waterfalls. Seriously, look it up to understand what this fragrance is about: Sun, cliffs, sea, untainted vegetal green and at ease travel, will to go out of your comfort zone to simply be and discover new horizons in the process. To me it is a vetiver waterfall creating it’s multiple rainbows from the seawater droplets while still remaining a solid vetiver release in the process.

It gives me the same vibe as Proofumum Roma’s Acqua di Sale, it may be a helpful point of reference for some of you.
