MY THOUGHTS

Clandestine Rendez-vous is a scent to wear on a date. According to it’s name secret date is what it represents. Sultry and seductive, with ambient sillage, Clandestine Rendez-vous from my very favorite Les Soeurs de Noe carries the scent that provokes senses. Soft woody start is cut with just a dash of citrus. Like the spiral rind used to decorate the cocktail, it is used to decorate the opening and not by any means to overpower it with acidic freshness. My bet is that it represents a marmelade on the inside of an expensive handmade bonbons that one brings to his lover for Valentine’s.

Right after 20 minutes the scent gains power and powderiness. I catch whiffs of dry cocoa and tonka, both create a very nice dark chocolate theme without the scent being overly gourmand. Romantic and mysterious, it is very molecular and technical offering of the chocolate. Yes there is sweetness to it, but only on the background. In the air I catch a whiff of heliptrope and milk. Yet I can’t call this scent lactonic either.

Like a fine woven lace it wears light on the skin, attracting the noses around. It feels well put together and composition is rather unique. My biggest advice with it. Test it on your skin and let it develop. I have a feeling that it will show up in a very different manner on people with cold skin. On mine it is very charming and sophisticated, sensual even. Something I see myself reaching out for a lot.
